Pitching picks up the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity's offense in 2-0 victory over BV Southwest


The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity didn't provide Tanner Fox with much support in the runs department, but he didn't need much. Fox pitched seven strong innings to carry the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity to a 2-0 win over BV Southwest in seven innings on Wednesday at BV DAC-A (Blue Valley West).

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity held BV Southwest without a run while Tanner Fox was on the bump. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on six hits while ringing up eight.

Mitch Rogers had a hot bat for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. Mitch went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

BV Southwest couldn't get anything going so long as Ryan Cyr was on the hill. BV Southwest managed just one hit off of Cyr, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his seven innings of work.

Ryan Cyr kept BV Southwest hitless until the seventh inning when a a single by Shinkle broke up his no-hit bid.

Hogan couldn't get it done on the bump for BV Southwest, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out 13, and allowed three runs.

Hot bat leads the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity past St. Thomas Aquinas 11-10

An awesome effort by Mitch Rogers hoisted the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity to an 11-10 win in seven innings over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Mitch racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He homered in the first, second, and fourth innings.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 21 runs and 20 hits, including nine extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using seven pitchers in total.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with three lead changes.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity scored on a two-run double by Caeden Harris off Nick Pascuzzi, bringing home Tanner Fox and Ryan Brady.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity outlasted BV Northwest on Friday after eight lead changes, squeaking out a 12-7 win at BV DAC-S (Blue Valley NW).

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity scored on an RBI single by Chase Robinson off Pener, plating Mitch Rogers.

Tristan Perkins racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He singled in the second inning.

Tanner Fox recorded the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity even though he allowed seven runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered 13 hits.

Pener took the loss for BV Northwest. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked two and struck out three.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, BV Northwest faced just a 11-7 deficit. An RBI double by Pener triggered BV Northwest's comeback. But, Tanner Fox got Knutson to ground out to end the game.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity's Ryan Cyr pitched six innings, but providing enough offense to notch a victory, despite 11 hits, proved difficult Tuesday, as the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity fell to Bishop Miege 2-1 at Bishop Miege.

White got the win in relief for Bishop Miege. White pitched two innings and allowed no runs.

Chase Robinson drove in the go-ahead run to give the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity the lead in the sixth inning, as the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity hung on to beat Bishop Miege 4-2 on Monday.

Tanner Fox singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from second to third.
Luke Popp got the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He tossed 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Brandon Lee brought home the go-ahead run to give the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity the lead in the seventh inning, as the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity hung on to beat SM South 7-4 on Saturday.

Caeden Harris was hit by a pitch to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to second on a single by Mitch Rogers.
Brandon racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity.

Will Brennan recorded the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Womack took the loss for SM South. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The bottom of the first saw SM South take an early lead, 1-0. SM South's rally started when Marshall Bland singled. A stolen base then moved Marshall from first to second.

The Tigers Baseball Varsity defeat Blue Valley West 3-1 thanks to Daniel Wells's late-game heroics

Brandon Lee singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second. Daniel Wells drove in the go-ahead run to give the Tigers the lead, and the Varsity team hung on to beat BV West 3-1 on Thursday.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity relied on Ryan Cyr to eat up innings en route to the win. Ryan Cyr allowed one earned run, eight hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Ryan Ralston was charged with the loss. He lasted just 5 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The first inning saw BV West score its only run on the day on an RBI double by Evan Bourn.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity's offense woke up as Mitch Rogers singled before Chase Robinson singled, bringing home Mitch and Caeden Harris.

BV West plated only one run through the third inning, but Tanner Fox took the loss, lasting just 4 1/3 innings. He walked one, struck out six, and allowed five runs.  The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as BV West scored five runs on a two-run double by Sam Davis, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Ryan Ralston.  BV West was sparked by Sam Davis and Evan Bourn, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.

Zach Engelken recorded the win for BV West. He allowed three runs over five innings. Zach struck out three, walked two and gave up four hits. BV West closer Davis Schwab put away the final four outs to record the save.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity scored on an RBI single by Chance Nelson off Alpert, bringing home Tristan Perkins.

Tristan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Grant Kuecker got the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Blue Valley North had no answer for Tristan Perkins, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Blue Valley North managed just one hit off of the the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Agre got the win for Blue Valley North. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered nine hits.

Ryan Cyr took the loss for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked three and struck out four.

The top of the first saw the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity take an early lead, 1-0. A single by Mitch Rogers, plating Ryan Brady started the inning off.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity scored 10 runs in the third on a walk by Mitch Rogers, a two-run double byTristan Perkins, a walk by Chase, a two-run single by Daniel Wells, an RBI single by Chance, a two-run double by Brandon Lee, and a wild pitch.
Luke Popp got the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity despite allowing five runs over 2 1/3 innings. Luke struck out one, walked five and gave up two hits.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity hammered Bishop Kelly pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 22 hits, 19 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
Chris Luschen took the loss for Bishop Kelly. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked four and struck out three.
The top of the first saw the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity take an early lead, 1-0. Mitch singled to ignite the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity's offense.
After a quick strike from the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity, Bishop Kelly responded with five runs in the first. Bishop Kelly scored on a walk by Hunter Hughes, a sacrifice fly by Sean Votaw, a two-run single by Ryan Martin, and a walk by Riley Smith.
After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fourth, Bishop Kelly faced just a 13-10 deficit. An RBI double by Sean and a two-run single by Charlie Wrona sparked Bishop Kelly's rally. Finally, Tanner Fox got Philip Scott to strike out to end the threat.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity increased their lead with four runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Caeden Harris singled, scoring Mitch and Tristan. That was followed up by Wells' single, scoring Caeden.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity piled on five more runs in the top of the seventh. A sacrifice fly scored Wells to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Rayn Robinson's single, plating Brandon.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity take out Bishop Kelly with help from Rayn Robinson, 7-4

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity beat Bishop Kelly 7-4 in seven innings on Friday behind Rayn Robinson, who went 2-2.

He singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Ryan Cyr got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Matthew Limekiller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 4 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity went up for good in the first, scoring one run on.
After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, Bishop Kelly faced just a 2-1 deficit. A walk by Ryan Marshall gave Bishop Kelly life. Finally, Ryan Cyr induced an inning-ending strike out from Max Simpson.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity tacked on another four runs in the fifth. A wild pitch scored Ryan Brady to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Brandon Lee's triple, plating Chance Nelson.
Two runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Bishop Kelly close its deficit to 6-3. A wild pitch and an error sparked Bishop Kelly's rally. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity stopped the rally after Ryan Cyr got Sean Votaw to strike out.
After pushing across one run in the bottom of the sixth, Bishop Kelly faced just a 6-4 deficit. An RBI double by Hunter Hughes fueled Bishop Kelly's comeback. Finally, Grant Kuecker got Charlie Wrona to strike out to end the threat.
