The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity top BV Northwest in back-and-forth affair, 12-7

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity outlasted BV Northwest on Friday after eight lead changes, squeaking out a 12-7 win at BV DAC-S (Blue Valley NW).

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity scored on an RBI single by Chase Robinson off Pener, plating Mitch Rogers.

Tristan Perkins racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He singled in the second inning.

Tanner Fox recorded the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity even though he allowed seven runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered 13 hits.

Pener took the loss for BV Northwest. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked two and struck out three.

In the top of the first, the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity grabbed the early lead, 1-0. A double by Mitch, scoring Tristan started the inning off.

It didn't take long for BV Northwest to answer as it scored three runs of its own in the first. BV Northwest scored on an RBI single by Pener and a two-run single by Kilty.

The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity went up for good in the sixth scoring six total runs, which came home on a groundout by Rayn Robinson and a three-run single by Brandon Lee.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, BV Northwest faced just a 11-7 deficit. An RBI double by Pener triggered BV Northwest's comeback. But, Tanner Fox got Knutson to ground out to end the game.
