The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity top SM South in back-and-forth affair, 4-3
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity and SM South exchanged the lead five times on Saturday, but the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity ended up on top with a 4-3 win in seven innings over SM South.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity scored on an RBI single by Chance Nelson off Alpert, bringing home Tristan Perkins.
Tristan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.
Grant Kuecker got the win for the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered two hits.
Alpert was charged with the loss. He lasted just 4 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
In the bottom of the first, the Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity grabbed the early lead, 2-0. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity caught fire after Brandon Lee singled. Then Rayn Robinson doubled, scoring Brandon. The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity added more runs when Robinson scored on an RBI single by Tristan.
The Blue Valley Tigers Baseball Varsity went up for good in the fourth scoring two total runs, which came home on an RBI double by Tristan.
